Isabella Bizzell, 18, attends Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is a Senior and will graduate as an Odyssey Scholar in May 2020. Following a shocking diagnosis, Isabella found a passion in raising awareness about endometriosis, specifically among teen patients. She has partnered with the Endometriosis Research Center (ERC), a non-profit organization, to raise awareness and funding for research. In August of 2019, Isabella produced “This Is Me” a fashion benefit and fundraiser to raise money for endometriosis research. Isabella and the ERC are working to provide “Endo What” kits to New Mexico school nurses to provide information to teens, in the hopes of raising awareness and discussion about a disease that affects 1 in 10 women. She is excited to share her platform at a national level and aspires to represent New Mexico well.
